Addiction psychiatry is an expanding field, and currently there is a high demand for substance abuse experts in both the private and public sector.



Neuropathology is the study of disease of nervous system tissue, usually in the form of either small surgical biopsies or whole-body autopsies. Neuropathologists usually work in a department of anatomic pathology, but work closely with the clinical disciplines of neurology, and neurosurgery, which often depend on neuropathology for a diagnosis. Neuropathology also relates to forensic pathology because brain disease or brain injury can be related to cause of death.



A mental health disorder characterized by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities, causing significant impairment in daily life. Possible causes include a combination of biological, psychological and social sources of distress. Increasingly, research suggests that these factors may cause changes in brain function, including altered activity of certain neural circuits in the brain.

Pediatric neurology is a combination of both neurology and pediatrics. Pediatric neurology is a branch of medicine mainly dealing with disorders of nervous system. Pediatric neurology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all diseases involving the central and peripheral nervous system and its subdivisions, the autonomic nervous system and the somatic nervous system, including their coverings, blood vessels and all effectors tissues such as muscles.
